VA Construction Loans
Financing for Your Dream Home
Due to the changing mortgage environment, we are currently not offering VA Construction loans at this time.
The process of purchasing land and/or building a home is a difficult one utilizing the VA process, however, we do not advance any funds until the home is completed.
So the builder would have to carry the costs until the home is finished. This is not a problem with most builders if they have an inventory of lots that they are building on. If the land is something that you own or have selected to purchase from a third party (not the builder) then the builder may be reluctant to carry the costs. In that event you would need an interim loan from a bank which could then be taken out by the permanent VA mortgage when the home is completed.
